Goodr, March of Dimes partner to provide 200 new moms a week’s worth of groceries

ATLANTA–April is Minority Health Month and sustainable waste management and hunger relief company Goodr has teamed up with March of Dimes to hold a free pop-up grocery market on Saturday, April 16, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Center for Black Women’s Wellness, 477 Windsor St. S.W., Atlanta.

Two hundreds pre-registered moms will receive one week’s worth of groceries with a focus on maternal and infant health. The event will provide the recipients with meat and seafood, fresh produce, eggs, bread, dairy, shelf stable items including high protein items such as oatmeal and peanut butter, snacks and beverages.  Additionally, the new  moms will receive diapers, wipes and various resources.

March of Dimes is the nation’s leading organization fighting for the health of all moms and babies. A big part of its work is providing support and education around the importance of good nutrition before, during and after pregnancy. This activation is a part of the organization’s larger, ongoing mission to end preventable maternal risks and death, end preterm birth and close the health equity gap for families everywhere.

“Goodr is excited to work alongside an organization as revered as March of Dimes and we welcome the opportunity to serve this group of new moms,” said Goodr CEO Jasmine Crowe. “Our hunger relief efforts are built around providing good nutrition, which is especially important at this time of a woman’s life.”
