DEKALB COUNTY, GA—Sheriff Melody Maddox is doing her part to mold young leaders by making sure they have something constructive to do this summer. Working with other community partners including the National Council of Negro Women, Sheriff Maddow is presenting the free Boys to Men and Girls to Pearls camp on June 6-10, 2022 for ages 9-15.
The students will learn discipline, how to be respectful, manners, etiquette, including table manners and for the males learning how to tie a tie. Maddox says the program is a way to encourage our youths and instill values. She continues to express a growing desire for children to succeed by stopping the school-to-prison pipeline.
