Virtual event set Saturday, June 26

DECATUR, GADeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson, in partnership with Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson and Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington, will host a virtual Homeowner Association (HOA) Boot camp on June 26,  at 10 a.m.

“I look forward to hosting this event each year to ensure our residents are equipped and empowered with the knowledge and tools to help them be successful,” Commissioner Larry Johnson said. “This will be our second year hosting virtually, due to the pandemic, but we need to continue to provide access and service to our constituents. This is a free bootcamp to help HOAs get their question answered from the experts.”

The virtual Homeowner Association Boot Camp will be presented by the DeKalb County HOA Alliance. The boot camp will be conducted through the online service of Zoom.  This will give constituents, local HOAs and civic organizations a chance to ask questions and gain the knowledge needed to be successful.  The topics range from understanding county policies and procedures to homeowner’s rights and board management.

Presentations will be made by DeKalb County Code Enforcement, Public Safety, Planning & Sustainability and Decide DeKalb.

“This HOA Bootcamp experience will give all attendees the needed tools to help improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods and communities,” said Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson.

Please register in advance for the Virtual HOA Boot camp at tinyurl.com/2021DeKalbHOA. A Zoom link will be provided once registration is completed.
